Bilbo's Coat Rack

My brother-in-law continues to work his magic at Strong Oaks Barn Wood Shop, which is about to move into an actual commercial workshop, having far outgrown its beginnings as a garage hobby. When we finished our entranceway with reclaimed barn wood this past summer, we envisioned having an entryway like Bilbo Baggins' -- one with "lots d lots of pegs for hats and coats -- the hobbit was fond of visitors."  Mike obliged with this amazing nine-foot pegboard, which we think truly gives our entranceway a touch of Middle-Earth hospitality.

It looks fabulous! Now you need a nice row of colorful hoods hanging there - purple and grey and brown and white and silver tasseled blue...It's so delightful to have you blogging again!

I haven't been here in so long, but the chain of a conversation between my husband and I that started, "that awesome song," and went to "Rich Mullins," and went to "was about to become Catholic," and went to "Regina Doman," brought you back into my mind. I am happy I visited your space here again. Beautiful coat rack, more beautiful sentiment.
